I think this accurately portrays my range of emotions.
But seriously fuck this shit.
I seriously think the NIMBY movement may be one of the most despicable, selfish and just plain evil social movements of modern times. For those of you unfamiliar, NIMBY stands for “Not In My BackYard.” It refers to the cleaner forms of energy production, chiefly wind mills. Their cause is to get those evil windmills out of their area so they don’t have to suffer the torture of looking at a cleaner, more effective and environmentally sound form of energy. It pisses me off because this requires the most narrow thinking outside of an evangelical church. These wind mills will A) reduce our dependency on dangerous forms of energy such as oil, coal and nuclear power and B)help us save the ENTIRE FUCKING PLANET. But it’s almost as if they can’t physically see something it doesn’t exist. They need to understand that though the benefits of this technology might not be seen right now, future generations will be quite grateful that we didn’t completely fuck their planet. It just absolutely bamboozles me that this movement has even an ounce of credibility.

Newt Gingrich How can I trust you as my president if you don’t respect the rights guaranteed to me under the Constitution and my personal choices when it comes to spirituality? (via kileyrae) How can I trust you if you publicly claim to be debt free and then 10 weeks later have it revealed that you are more than a million dollars in debt? |
